2022 Travel Stipend Request Form

Choosing a law school is one of the most important decisions you will make. Our students have always shared that school visits were one of the most influential factors in making their final decision.  However, we also realize that visiting multiple law schools can be a costly endeavor. As such, Northwestern Pritzker School of Law would like to help defray a portion of the costs you will incur when traveling to Chicago for one of our Admitted Student Events.

Eligibility
We are able to offer a limited number of travel stipends for admitted students who are attending one of the following two events taking place this spring:
  • Enhancing Diversity in the Legal Profession: Thursday, April 7, 2022
  • Admitted Students Weekend: Friday, April 8, 2022 and Saturday, April 9, 2022
To be eligible for a travel stipend, you must:
  • Register for and attend one of the events listed above.
  • Be traveling a distance greater than 75 miles each way and incurring travel related costs to attend our Chicago-based events.
  • Be admitted to a JD program at Northwestern Law (JD, JD-LLM IHR, JD-LLM TAX, JD-MBA, JD-PhD).

The amount of your subsidy will be based on (1) your CURRENT ADDRESS on file in your application for admission and (2) the receipts you submit for transportation and/or overnight accommodations.

Please note, only the actual fees paid on transportation tickets purchased using miles and points will be reimbursed.  We cannot reimburse you for the alleged "value" of your ticket.

Illinois and Indiana residents must be traveling at a distance greater than 75 miles each way in order to be eligible to receive the stipend. Please submit the text version of Google map directions with your travel stipend.  Distance will be calculated by using the following information:
